The National Reconstruction Authority has begun the process of developing integrated settlements to relocate five vulnerable settlements from five of the most-affected districts.
The NRA’s 64th executive committee meeting, under the chair of CEO Dr. Govind Raj Pokharel, decided to conduct a feasibility study, prepare a detailed project report and seek help from various organizations and development agencies in order to move forward with the construction of integrated settlements.
Under the project, the five settlements to be relocated are: Kerauja in Gorkha District, Selang in Sindhupalchok District, Khalde in Rasuwa District, Urleni in Nuwakot District and Besimpa in Dolakha District.
The safe areas will be identified by a committee under the chair of each district's Chief District Officer.
