The United Kingdom supports Nepal reconstruction efforts by providing grant assistance of £71.5 million

September 10, 2016.  The United Kingdom's Department for International Development (DFID) will continue supporting Nepal’s reconstruction efforts by providing a grant assistance of £71.5 million, which is approximately 10.10 billion NRPs.

The agreement was signed on September 2, 2016, by Baikuntha Aryal, Joint Secretary at Ministry of Finance, and Gail Marzetti, head of the Department for International Development (DFID) in Nepal.

The grant assistance will mainly support the building of a 400 kilometers of rural roads and trails, and improved drinking water and sanitation for 250,000 people.
